What are the ingredients of Phen375?

These are the main ingredients of the Phen375 weight loss and appetite suppressant supplement:

This is an amino acid that is naturally occurring in the human body. It plays a role in energy, muscle function, and brain function.

Coleus forskohlii

This plant, also known as Indian coleus, is in the same family as mint, oregano, and other common culinary herbs. Coleus forskohlii is used in folk medicine. Its benefits are thanks to the chemical forskolin.

Citrus aurantium

This is the scientific name for bitter orange, a species of citrus. It contains N-methyltyramine, octopamine and synephrine, three chemicals that can promote weight loss.

As you probably already know, this is a stimulant found naturally in coffee and tea.

Cayenne pepper

This spicy fruit is used in cooking and as herbal medicine. The plant contains several types of beneficial compounds such as capsaicin, antioxidants, and carotenoids.

Dendrobium nobile extract

Dendrobium nobile is a very common species of orchid, used in Traditional Chinese Medicine.

How Effective Is Phen375?

This wouldn't be an honest Phen375 diet pill review if I didn't go over the real scientific data surrounding its ingredients. Taking the Phen375 weight loss and appetite suppressant pill has decent scientific support. Each ingredient has different levels of effectiveness.

L-carnitine can promote a small amount of fat loss, as demonstrated by a couple of studies. However, the fat burned tends to be a rather small amount. The subjects of the studies only burned a couple of pounds even after taking L-carnitine for six months.

Beyond fat loss itself, L-carnitine can aid weight loss by decreasing your blood sugar and increasing your insulin sensitivity. This is good because stable blood sugar levels can help stop carbohydrate cravings, a common culprit of being overweight.

Research has found that caffeine can help increase fat oxidation. Scientists have also found that it increases metabolism, but only by a little bit. Studies show that caffeine does not have an appetite-suppressing effect, despite anecdotes to the contrary. Caffeine is notorious for effecting everyone differently, so the inclusion of caffeine in this formula may or may not benefit you.

The compound forskolin in Coleus forskohlii shows great promise as a fat burner. However, it seems to work significantly better in men rather than in women. In one study, men who took forskolin for a period of twelve weeks lost about 10 pounds of fat. The effects of forskolin are believed to be because it increases the amount of the molecule "cAMP" in your body's cells, and this molecule is associated with increased fat loss.

The capsaicin present in cayenne pepper is helpful for weight loss. Studies have shown that consuming capsaicin one hour before exercise increases fat oxidation. It reduces food intake in humans by about 8%, which is the equivalent of burning 160 extra calories if your diet is usually 2,000 calories per day. After 22 days of consuming 160 fewer calories, you should lose 1 pound of fat. Studies done on mice have found that although capsaicin reduces food intake, the effect wears off after ten days.

As mentioned earlier, a couple of the chemicals found in bitter orange are octopamine and synephrine. Research shows that octopamine may increase fat burning, while synephrine has been found to increase metabolism by 65 calories for every 75 minutes that it's in your system. This means that, at least for synephrine alone, after 67 hours of having synephrine circulating in your body you should lose about 1 pound. If the compound is in your body for 12 hours a day, you'll lose a pound in about 5 days. Of course, this is only a rough estimate.

Dendrobium nobile extract isn't scientifically shown to increase fat burning, decrease apptetite, or have any other effect that might lead to weight loss. The manufacturer's website of Phen375 notes that the purpose of Dendrobium nobile is to improve digestion; however, this seems to be a folk medicine use with no real evidence.

If you took each of these supplements in the same dosages used in the studies, it's possible that after a few months the number of pounds you lost could be in the double digits. However, the Phen375 website doesn't state the exact amounts of each ingredient and it's pretty unlikely that each dose has enough of each ingredient to have this much of an effect.

Phen375 is good if you have realistic expectations about what it can do. The most it can offer is a small boost to your weight loss. Simply taking Phen375 to lose weight without changing your diet or exercise habits may work if you only want to lose 5 - 10 pounds of fat.

However, it probably won't burn any more than that. If you want to lose more than 10 pounds, then Phen375 shouldn't be your only pathway of losing weight. If this is your situation, the pills will be best taken in conjunction with a regimen of regular exercise and a healthy, reduced-calorie diet.

Does Phen375 have any side effects?

All of the active ingredients in these pills have potential side effects. However, information isn't given on the exact amounts of each ingredient present in each dose, so it's hard to say how likely Phen375 is to cause side effects.

  • Caffeine can cause headache, increased heart rate, insomnia, nervousness, ringing in the ears, and stomach irritation.
  • L-Carnitine can cause diarrhea, heartburn, nausea, and vomiting.
  • Coleus forskolii may lower your blood pressure.
  • Bitter orange can cause fainting, high blood pressure, and migraines.
  • Dendrobium nobile extract could increase your chance of seizure.

Most of these ingredients are also incompatible with many prescription medications and can worsen certain mental and physical health conditions. You shouldn't take Phen375 if you're taking a prescription medication at the same time, unless your doctor says it's okay.

Also be sure to check with your doctor before taking Phen375 if you have any preexisting medical conditions. In particular, having any anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, heart conditions, blood pressure conditions, sleep disorders, and seizure disorders will most likely mean Phen375 is not for you.

Is Phen375 okay if I have allergies or dietary restrictions?

The only active ingredient in Phen375 that is likely to cause any allergic reaction is cayenne pepper. If you know you're allergic to cayenne peppers or any other type of pepper, this isn't the right supplement for you.

As for the inactive ingredients, these aren't posted on the manufacturer's website. A third party has provided an inactive ingredients list, but the website providing this information isn't affiliated with the Phen375 manufacturer so it can't be said how accurate the list is. Supposedly, the inactive ingredients of Phen375 are:

  • Microcrystalline cellulose
  • Stearic acid
  • Croscarmellose sodium
  • Polyvinyl alcohol
  • Magnesium stearate
  • White rice flour
  • Propyethylene glycol
  • Polysorbate

Although it is not the most common allergy, some people are allergic to rice. If you have a rice allergy, obviously you shouldn't use Phen375.

Two other ingredients of concern are stearic acid and magnesium stearate. Stearic acid can be derived either from plants or animals. Magnesium stearate is usually produced using beef fat. Since there's no way to know if the supplement uses the plant-based or animal-derived versions of these ingredients, I imagine that very strict vegans might choose a different weight loss supplement that doesn't have stearic acid or magnesium stearate.

Is Phen375 Worth the Money?

The exact price per dose of the Phen375 weight loss and appetite suppressant supplement depends on which package you buy. There are three bundles available on the Phen375 official website: A 30-day supply $65.95, a 90-day supply for $131.90, or a six-month supply for $263.80.

When you buy the 30-day supply, the price per day comes out to about $2.19. However, if you buy the 90-day or six-month supply, it will cost approximately $1.47 per day to take Phen375.

In terms of value for your money, Phen375 is kind of a take-it-or-leave it deal. You could purchase the five most effective ingredients (L-Carnitine, caffeine, Coleus forskohlii, cayenne pepper, and bitter orange) as five stand-alone supplements for around the same price per day as Phen375, maybe a little more. If you did this, it would probably be more effective since stand-alone supplements will offer a higher dosage of each ingredient.

However, this isn't to say that Phen375 is a bad deal for the price. This is not a negative Phen375 diet pill review. It seems to be a well-formulated product that will likely help you lose weight. I would say that it offers a good value for its category of supplement: multi-ingredient natural weight loss pills.

Phen375 is a great natural alternative to phentermine. Phentermine is a prescription drug that decreases appetite and promotes weight loss. However, not everyone has access to affordable prescription medications. Plus, doctors usually only prescribe phentermine if your BMI is at least 30 and you have already tried other weight loss methods with no success. So, if you get a prescription for a pharmaceutical appetite suppressant, a natural supplement like Phen375 can be just as good.

Where can I buy Phen375?

I think the best place to buy this supplement is to buy it directly from the manufacturer's official website,

You should avoid buying it from any other website. Third-party online supplement retailers can be sketchy unless it's a site with an established reputation, such as Amazon or GNC. However, Phen375 doesn't seem to be available on any such reputable online retailer. You are also unlikely to find this product in stores. Fortunately, the official website is easy to find and buy from.

Phen375 Review Summary

Phen375 isn't the world's best supplement, but it's probably good enough for most people's purposes. Phen375 might work slightly better for men. However, women will still benefit.

Remember to check with your doctor before taking Phen375 if you take any prescription medications or have any ongoing medical conditions. Otherwise, something bad could happen!

Since the appetite-reducing effects of cayenne pepper wear off after 10 days, you may benefit most from this supplement by taking it 10 days at a time, followed by a 3-4 day break before resuming.

Best Alternatives to Phen375

Even if this Phen375 diet pill review makes the product seem pretty good, there might be an ingredient or two you wish wasn't there.

There are other weight loss supplements that are similar to Phen375. A couple include PhenQ and Phen24. Check these out if Phen375 almost is the right supplement for you, but not quite. One of these are similar but different and may meet all your needs. They're all around the same quality, but have different formulations according to your preferences.

PhenQ is formulated with some of the same ingredients as Phen375, such as capsicum (hot pepper), caffeine, and L-carnitine. The differences are that PhenQ has vitamin B3, calcium, chromium picolinate, nopal cactus, and piperine (extracted from black pepper).

Phen24 has some similarities with Phen375. Like Phen375, it contains caffeine and cayenne pepper. However, it has other ingredients that Phen375 doesn't, like B-vitamins, green tea extract, chromium picolinate, and many others.
